To The Bastions!

To the Bastions! is a real-time strategy (RTS) game set during the Great Siege of Malta in 1565. The player acts as a military commander, sending out units and mobilizing them to gain a tactical advantage over the enemy army.

There are a total of ten stages, five of which are battles fought as the defending Knights of St. John, and five of which are the same battles played as the attacking Ottoman army.

During battle, the player can place four different types of units on the battlefield and one type in their fort. The unit information is displayed on the lower left part of the screen, and the objective is displayed on the top left corner of the screen.

Each unit has a cooldown period before any further action can be taken, and the color of the hexes on the board indicate disadvantages (e.g., higher cooldown period) or advantages (e.g., additional resources generated every tick) to the units.
